Why do you pay a premium for the DataBank service?

Recovery - The reason you do a backup is to recover from a disaster or a lost file. If you are not able to recover that data, there is no point in doing the backup in the first place. So once you have done the backup you need to do everything in your power to make sure you can restore the data. Tapes must be stored and transported under the correct conditions (20 degrees C / 40%RH) to ensure recovery.

Our People - We have invested in our people to ensure that the security of your data will be protected at all times. We also maintain a team of backup employees to ensure that our service operates at full speed even if employees are sick or are on miluim.

Our Facility - We have built our vault to meet all the international requirements for the safe and secure storage of backup media. Our vault was designed together with the best security consultants in Israel.

Fire Protection - Our facility has a FM200 gas suppression in case of fire - in the event of a release of the FM200 gas, your media won't be damaged.

Management - We not only pickup and drop off your backup tapes, we manage the process ensuring that the right tapes are sent offsite and we contact you in the event that tapes have not been collected because of a problem on your side (i.e a secretary was sick and no one gave us tapes or the backup drive was not working so there was no backup).

Trust - We have an extremely low turnover of employees and all our employees have police clearance and are polygraph tested. All our vault workers and drivers are trained in the careful handling of backup media.

Compliance - All our processes and operations are transparent, audited and compliant with SOX and FDA requirements.
