The DataBank TapeTrack software is a powerful tool that enables DataBank customers to have full control over this process through remote management of their backup tapes.

As a DataBank customer, you will always have a complete and up to date overview of the movement and whereabouts of all your backup tapes at any time.

The DataBank TapeTrack software is a free application provided to DataBank Customers.

The TapeTrack software provides among others the following functionality:

  • Request backup tapes to be returned to you at any time

  • Advance notification of what backup tapes will be sent to DataBank ensuring a complete and secure chain of custody. This function enables the customer to check when the tapes have arrived and been confirmed in the DataBank facility.

  • Manage backup media retention cycles – ability to set and modify dates of when the backup media will be returned to you.

  • Add and modify your own descriptions to the inventory report.

  • Search and locate your backup tapes through the easy to use media library functionality

  • Configuration of user profiles

  • RSA encrypted data exchange
